Laser hair reduction is the most effective solution for reducing unwanted hair. The Milesman™ diode laser is a state-of-the-art system specially designed to reduce unwanted hair faster, with less discomfort and more reliable than other methods.
The Milesman Compact is the result of 5 years of continuous research between universities and high-end engineering companies from Germany, Spain and United States.
Thanks to the absence of a “hot spot” we are able to deliver high energy and eliminate patient discomfort as well almost all of the usual side effects.
The new VCSEL technology distributes the energy homogeneously along the spot, eliminating the “hot spot” or “tack effect” that is a common feature in most previous technologies.

During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, long enough to heat up the hair and significantly impede the follicle's ability to re-grow. This process also treats numerous hair follicles simultaneously.
An important part of the procedure is the cooling of the skin. A special contact-cooling hand piece allows your physician to treat even the most sensitive skin. It protects and cools the upper layer of the skin before, during and after each laser pulse while directing the laser energy to the hair root.

How does the laser remove hair?
Highly controlled flashes of light are selectively absorbed by hair-filled follicles lying below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light heats the hair, which damages or destroys the regrowth potential of the follicle. Some damage to surrounding tissue can occur but this can be minimised by experienced staff.
What does the treatment feel like?
With the small spot size each pulse of light feels like a slight sting or pinch, similar to the snap of a rubber band. No local anaesthesia is required and most people tolerate the treatment well under conditions of skin cooling.
Can all hair be treated?
The laser will only treat dark hair (brown/black).
Are there any possible side effects?
Side effects are rare. You may experience some slight reddening or local swelling at the treatment site, but this typically goes away within hours, On rare occasions, some blistering or bruising may occur, but typically resolves quickly. Also, the skin can become darker or lighter following treatment, but will generally return to normal within a few weeks. Limiting sun exposure before and after each treatment will minimise the risk of complications. Following the treatment, you can generally return to work and resume all regular activities immediately.
What kind of results should I expect?
A permanent reduction in the number of regrowing hairs following each treatment in most skin types. The number of treatments required depends on several factors related to your specific kind of hair and skin. A customised treatment program will be designed for you along with an estimate of how many treatments you may need in order to meet your expectations.
