A skin flap is a surgical method used to close a surgical wound. It means that adjacent skin is moved into the wound by either rotating, advancing or transposing it. In certain areas such as in the face a flap repair is needed to perserve normal anatomy and function as much as possible leading to an optimal cosmetic and function result.
